About this route: Zürich to Basel

Travelling between two cities, a lake and a mountain village, or an airport and a hotel is simpler when one person takes care of the whole journey. You are collected where you are, driven door to door, and set down where you are expected.

There are no timetables to plan around and no connections to catch. You decide when to leave and what to take with you, and the journey fits around your day rather than the other way round.

Built around your schedule

  • Door-to-door travel from any address in Switzerland
  • Room for luggage, work and conversation
  • A vehicle class to suit the size of your group
  • Stops on the way, when you tell us about them in advance

The journey: Zürich to Basel

This private transfer takes you from Zürich to Basel, door to door, with a chauffeur at the wheel. A few words about both ends of the journey follow.

Arriving in Basel

The Münster, built between 1019 and 1500 in Romanesque and Gothic styles, has red sandstone walls and twin towers. The Pfalz, the terrace behind the Münster, is one of the city’s most popular viewpoints over the Rhine.

  • The Kunstmuseum Basel holds the world’s oldest public art collection.
  • The Museum Tinguely, in a building by Mario Botta on the Rhine, is devoted to the kinetic sculptures of Jean Tinguely.
  • Four small ferries cross the Rhine, driven only by the current.

Setting off from Zürich

The Fraumünster is known for its stained-glass windows by Marc Chagall. A boat trip on Lake Zürich shows the city’s landmarks from the water.
